Dance Competition

Natalie participated in her first dance competition on Saturday and had a blast! Her group got the highest honor, lightening gold, and the top petite small group future stars trophy! The whole group was ecstatic! Natalie can't wait for the next competition and is clearing a space out in her room for future trophies.

Doctors, Meds, and Gunk

In the past two weeks Nathan, Natalie, and I have been in and out of doctors offices. First Nathan had a double ear infection, then pink eye, and most recently the flu. Yesterday he had a follow up for all three issues and he seems to be on the mend. He's teething like crazy, so Mark and I have been up around the clock with him. On Friday Natalie's earring backing got lodged inside her earlobe, but after a trip to urgent care it was able to be removed. She's on meds now four times a day for the next week. I was at the doctor last week for throat issues and now for pink eye! Let's hope we are at the tail end of this junk!

It's Fondue Time!

No, that's not a homeless girl we picked up off the streets. It's Natalie enjoying chocolate fondue with strawberries...a lot!

Playtime

Line Dance

Natalie and her kinder classmates have been practicing a line dance to "I Like to Move it" and square dance for an upcoming PTA performance. The video was sent to me by another teacher so it's not the best quality, but it gives you an idea of what they're working on. Natalie is on the far left on the end in the middle. Lately she's been complaining about how many kids don't know the dance yet. She's been picked as one of the kids to follow once they face her direction because she's got it down. In the second video, notice her freestyle move involves spinning on her bottom on the floor and then on her stomach!

Matching Dresses

Natalie and Abby got matching spring dresses and had to model them for the camera.

Steph and Abby Visit

 

 Stephanie and Abby came to visit us today.  Cooper couldn't visit because he is in school, but it has been fun spending time with the two of them. Abby has been less scared of me this trip and has even let me hold her and take her outside to play. She likes giving Nathan kisses, and he enjoys reaching out and trying to pull her hair.

A New Friend Visits

It seems like it's been forever since I've written anyting on this blog! Over a month has gone by! I guess time flies when you're up day and night with a baby, working full time, taking grad school classes, and just keeping things running smoothly at home. I am not even going to try to catch up on the past month, so I'll just start from Friday. :)

Natalie has made a new friend at school who is such a sweetheart. The two of them had a playdate on Friday. We went to Sonic for ice cream and then the girls played at our house. They had a great time together and we've made plans to go to her house next weekend.
